Kyrill Gurtovenko, PhD
Director of Community Clinical Training and Scale

Kyrill Gurtovenko brings the latest in training innovation to CoLab’s work with the Washington state Health Care Authority and in other strategic partnerships with a focus on designing training and workforce development approaches that work smoothly with provider, client, and community needs. He also coordinates FORUMS, a monthly discussion group highlighting innovations in treatment and research focused on systems and public impact.

Dr. Gurtovenko is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an attending psychologist at Seattle Children's Hospital Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. His background is in the study of developmental psychopathology, emotion regulation, parenting and family adjustment. His current areas of interest and work include assessment and intervention for adolescent suicidality, self-injury and emotion dysregulation. He is the director of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and he teaches courses on evidence based child and adolescent treatment at the University of Washington.
