Cindy Trevino, PhD

Dr. Trevino is a bilingual (Spanish/English) Assistant Professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington (UW) and Attending Psychologist in the Department of Child Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH). Clinically, she provides evaluation and treatment services for young children in the SCH Early Childhood Clinic and provide pediatric specialty services for children and youth at SCH Craniofacial Center. She is also the co-director of the Child and Adolescent Latino Mental Health Assessment and Treatment Clinic (CALMA) at SCH, which is a Spanish mental health clinic started in 2020 to serve the mental health needs of Latino/Spanish-speaking families across WA state. Her research focuses on identifying and preventing the impacts of social risks and adversity on child behavioral health in under-represented populations (Spanish-speaking and Hispanic/Latinx populations) and on using task-shifting models to increase access to evidence-based mental health interventions for Spanish-speaking families.
